Toshiaki Mukai and Tsuyoshi Noda, both captains in the Imperial Japanese Army had a contest to kill 100 people using a sword.
The goal of the contest was to see who could kill 100 people the fastest while using a sword.
The two officers were later executed on war crime charges for their involvement.
It is estimated the two officers did not stop at 100, and have killed as many as 300 defenseless men, women, and children for sport.
