January 27 is International #HolocaustRemembranceDay and the anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau, which took place 74 years ago. 






On this day we pay tribute to the millions of victims of the #Holocaust but also recommit to preserving the memory of the victims of German Nazi oppression.

On this day and everyday: Words Matter. Remember to use the correct terms when describing German Nazi camps. 

It’s not just a matter of semantics. It’s a matter of historical integrity and accuracy.

Using precise language when discussing the Holocaust is essential to never forget. #WordsMatter #WeRemember

My eyes saw what no man should witness: Gas chambers built by learned engineers. Children poisoned by educated physicians. Infants killed by trained nurses. Women and babies shot and burned by high school and college graduates. So, I am suspicious of education. My request is: Help your students become human.
