Two (2) different balls from the finalists were used during the FIRST edition of the FIFA World Cup in 1930 as one ball was used in the first half and the second ball was used in the second half.
There was no official ball for the first World Cup, held in Uruguay in 1930. The finalists Uruguay🇺🇾 and Argentina🇦🇷 quarrelled over who among the two would provide the match ball for the final.
Argentina brought (Tiento ball) while the host Uruguay brought (T-Model Ball). A compromise was reached eventually, Argentinian ball (Tiento) was used in the first half while the Uruguayan ball (T-Model) was used in the second half.
Argentina won the first half 2-1 with their Tiento ball but Uruguay came back into the game and finally defeated Argentina by 4-2 with their T-Model ball and became the first World Champions in 1930.
